The Moon and the Sun Necklace is a tribute to the eternal dance between the sun and the moon, symbolizing the harmony between day and night, light and darkness. Crafted with 22k gold vermeil on 925 sterling silver, this necklace features a carnelian gemstone, intricately engraved with the celestial images of the sun and the moon. In ancient mythology, the sun god and the moon goddess governed the skies, their influence guiding the rhythms of the natural world. The radiant gold vermeil represents the sun’s powerful light, while the warm, fiery hue of the carnelian captures the sun’s life-giving energy and the moon’s mysterious glow. 

The chain is completely designed and made with hand by the masters of its artistry. The majority of Roman jewellery, which was created by highly skilled artisans, was made of gold. 

This design features an open-back gemstone setting for full connection with the stone’s natural properties.

The Carnelian dates back to Ancient Egypt, when it was used for a variety of purposes, including promoting fertility, igniting romance, and even giving bravery to the warriors of the day.
