Lapis was revered for thousands of years in ancient Egypt, where it was thought to guide the soul into immortality and allow the heart to be opened to love. The Royal Stone was rumoured to hold the gods' souls. Lapis is thought to strengthen the immune system, lower blood pressure, purify the blood, and reduce any inflammation in the body. Lapis Lazuli can help you establish a connection to clarity, honesty, and intuition as a stone that promotes wisdom and communication.

In order to be effective Lapis Lazuli is suggested to be contacted with skin. The craftsmanship of the necklace is carefully designed in-line with the gemstone’s properties as the back of the necklace is completely open allowing the gemstone to contact the wearer.

The intaglio depiction of the gem is of a Pegasus. We feel that the necklace’s genuine ancient beauty is the result of Ece London's meticulous hand carvings of each piece (entirely from wax), which results in a unique item. Every design has a special backstory. This necklace is hand sculpted and completed by craftsmen in Istanbul, Turkey's Grand Bazaar.

After your engraving request is submitted, our artisans will hand-engrave the back of the design and finish it with the same gold leaf used in the original piece, ensuring it blends seamlessly with the design.

Each intaglio is carefully hand-engraved by our skilled artisans, please allow an additional 1 business day for the customization process to be completed.

Due to the personalized nature of the custom engravings, all customized products are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. We take great care to ensure each engraving is perfect, creating a special way to celebrate the uniqueness of our designs.
